My first finished water color piece. It took me two days to finish cause I had other things to do too. The scan quality of this is pretty damn crappy, I tried to fix it up using filters on SAI, but it is still pretty bad. I hope to get a better copy of it up later when I can use a quality scanner.

I used the cheapest paints and paper possible. 1. Cause I'm cheap, and 2. cause I'm just starting out and have no idea what I am doing so why buy the good stuff if I will end up sucking?

That's awesome! :D You seem great, the only thing I think would make it better is...more colors. (better colors :P) Did you buy the Artists Loft kind? The $5 big palette is pretty good... your discount is valid at Aaron brothers too, which might have painting stuff. And if you REALLY get into it, my college has really good watercolors, even gold and silver pigment

Yeah I got the artist loft ones, and the only problem I saw with them is that the pigment doesn't always like to blend, and so it can be grainy. :/ I have no idea where an Aaron brothers is. XD

And thank you. <3 It's more vibrant and colorful in life, I don't exaggerate when I say the scanner washed it out. :/

Thank you. :) I've always wanted to get into it, and since I have a part time job at a craft store I bought the cheap stuff for even cheaper. XD Yay discounts.

I try working new things like that into my art stuff to keep me fresh and sometimes I find techniques that I can use for other art forms, like the coloring I do for you. :)
